Obituary of Helen Ward

Ward, Helen of Aylmer passed away at Chateau Gardens on Monday, September 9, 2013, four weeks before her 100th year birthday. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Fred Ward(1988). Dear mother of Linda Axelson and husband Peter of Aylmer and mother-in-law of Veronica Ward of Hamilton. Loving grandmother of Heather Ward, Karen D'Agostino(Enio), Dawn Goble(Mike), Wayne Axelson(Sharon) and Kris Ward. Also survived by 16 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Donald Ward in 2000 and her brother Donald McArthur. Born in Caledon Township on October 7, 1913, daughter of the late Archie and May (Widdis) McArthur. Helen was a faithful member of the Aylmer Baptist Church. She was an elementary school teacher for a number of years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
