Obituary of Eric Oellinger

Oellinger, Eric of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Maria (Rieger) Oellinger. Loving father of Stefan Oellinger of New Jersey. Dear brother of Eveline Aschauer and husband Johann of Austria. Also survived by a brother-in-law Erwin Rieger and wife Elfriede, and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Born in Austria on June 30, 1951 son of Ernestina (Reinthaler) Oellinger of Austria and the late Alfred Oellinger. Eric was a lifelong farmer and innovator with a deep respect for nature. He came to Canada in 1988 and settled in the Chatham area. In 2010, Eric and Maria relocated to Aylmer. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 12 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Committal Service at Maple leaf Cemetery, Chatham on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
