Obituary of John Friesen
Friesen, John P.
It is with great sadness that his loving family announces the passing of John P. Friesen of Aylmer, in his 67th year. On Saturday, August 17th 2013, peacefully in his home, and surrounded by the love of his family, John made the journey to be with the Lord. Beloved husband of Sara Friesen for 43 years. Loving father to his daughters Erika and Anita, and his son, Adolf. Loving Grandfather to his two grandsons - Dusti, whom he tenderly took in and raised as a son, his namesake, Jonathon, and four granddaughters - Serena, Allegra, Ariel and Damaris. He will be greatly missed by his neighbours, co-workers, loved ones, and his many brothers and sisters in the Lord. Predeceased by his brother Jake and sister Anna. John was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 10th, 1947, son of the late Jacob & Susanna (Penner) Friesen. He was an active member of the Church of God at Aylmer. The scripture "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might" directly applied to him. John was a very hard working man, putting his heart into whatever task lay before him. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Sommerfeld Church in Mount Salem, on Thursday August 22nd at 2:00 p.m., with interment following in the Aylmer Cemetery. We wish to extend our sincerest gratitude to Brother Henry Hildebrandt, Brother Benjamin Tovstiga, and Dr. Carroll Harder.
