Obituary of Ferne Howe

Ferne Howe After a valiant fight against immobility and declining health, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother Ferne Howe at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital with her family by her side on Monday, January 28, 2008. Ferne was a resident of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer and formerly a longtime resident of Jaffa. Beloved wife of the late Mervin Howe(1996). Dear mother of Keith and wife Anne of R.R.5, Aylmer, Glenn and wife Monica of R.R.5, Aylmer and mother-in-law of Elvinda Howe of Aylmer. Loving grandmother of Brent Howe, Shelley Phoenix and husband Barclay, Ryan Howe and fiancee Jill Patenaude, Rick, Kevin, Sara and Craig Howe. Great-grandmother of Keaton and Jaelynn Phoenix. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sons Bruce Howe(2001) and Hugh Howe (1948), brothers Fred and James Alton. Born in Norfolk County on February 2, 1918 daughter of the late Stanley and Eldena (Antill) Alton. Ferne was a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church and the W.A. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev.
