Charlton, Margaret Elizabeth (nee Beach)
Peacefully and quietly called home to be with her Lord and Saviour at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 9, 2013. Loving wife of the late Wilfrid Charlton (1968); mother to Karen McConnell and husband David and Paul Charlton; adopted mother to Colleen Devos and husband Richard; mother-in-law to Carol Charlton; grandmother to Lisa Costa and husband Virg, Kara-Leigh Bond and husband Jeff, Noel McConnell and wife Tamara, and Amanda Jones and husband Stuart; adopted grandmother to Ashlen Gibbons and husband Richard, Kellen Devos; loving sister to Marion Kiddie and husband the late Gordon Kiddie, and to Georgina Hutchison and husband Bruce; survived by sister-in-law Merle Charlton, several nieces and nephews and 6 great grandchildren; predeceased by several brothers and sister-in-laws. Born in Union, Ontario, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Ethel (Thring) Beach. Margaret was born September 6,1919 and lived in the Springfield area all of her life, with the exception of some time during World War II. She was a former school teacher, and spent several working years as a CSR worker and pharmacy technician at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement in 1983. She was a long-standing and truly faithful member of Springfield Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kebbels Funeral Home in Aylmer, Ontario where visitation will take place Sunday, August 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., The funeral service will be held at the Springfield Baptist Church on Monday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. and will be officiated by the Pastors John Twinem and Jeff Rockwell.
