Obituary of Valerie Masschaele

Masschaele (Black), Valerie C. of Grand Bend and formerly of Port Burwell passed away at Strathroy General Hospital surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in her 56th year. Beloved wife of Lawrence "Herm" Black. Dear daughter of Madeleine Masschaele of Aylmer and the late Leon Masschaele(1978). Loving sister of Charles Masschaele of Aylmer and David Masschaele(Deborah Hickman) of St.Thomas. Also survived by an aunt Madeleine Bossuyt of Aylmer and a number of cousins. Born in St.Thomas on March 15, 1958. Valerie was appreciated for her work at the Association for Community Living in Tillsonburg, HWC Insurance, Aylmer and Shoppers Drug Mart, Aylmer. She loved wildlife and rehabilitating animals. Valerie and Herm owned and operated the Acorn Lodge at Grand Bend. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-5 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Monday July 29, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
