Passed away May 9, 2013 in the palliative care unit at Parkwood Hospital after a courageous battle with alzheimers and cancer.
"Bruce Georgeff, (B.A.; BEd; Masters of Ed; Masters of Science in Spec Ed; Veteran of WWII and recipient of Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal for Excellence in Special Education) born June 8, 1923 in Harrow, Ontario, former resident of Hamilton and London, Ontario.
Husband of Jean (Martindale) deceased; father of son Jim Georgeff (daughter in law K. Lynn) and daughter Lynn Ruth Georgeff. Beloved grandfather of Jennifer Kate Georgeff.
Pre-deceased by father, Peter Georgeff, mother Bernice (Tofflemire) and siblings: Grace (Fox); Jimmy Georgeff; Sarah (Sally Atkins); and Mildred (Perin). Survived by: Rose (Sperling) and Carol (Hargreaves). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the caring members of the U.H. Palliative Skirt Team and Victoria and Parkwood's Palliative Units. Thank you also to all those who cared for Bruce throughout his struggles with heart disease, alzheimers and cancer.
Visitation at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, 119 Talbot St. E., Aylmer, Ontario on Friday, May 17th from 7 - 9 p.m.. where the funeral will be held at Kebbels on Saturday, May 18th at 1 p.m. Internment Aylmer Cemetery. Refreshments and gathering will follow at the Mapleton Church.
