Obituary of John Vandewyngaerde

Vandewyngaerde; John of R.R.# 5, Aylmer passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday March 11, 2013, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Armstrong) Vandewyngaerde. Dear father of Lynette Facey (Mike Caverly) and Jefferey Vandewyngaerde. Loved by his grandchildren Riley, Megan and Lexi. Dear son of Anna Vandewyngaerde of Aylmer and the late Emiel Vandewyngaerde. Brother of Dianne Hamilton of Aylmer, Joanne Lockwood (Phillip Firlotte) of Aylmer Predeceased by his sister Veronica Scott and a brother-in-law Larry Scott. John was born in St.Thomas on July 16, 1945 and was a tobacco farmer. He was a past president and a 40 year member of the Vienna Lions Club. A member of the Mud Lake Hunting Club, a member of Duck Pond Hunt Club, a member of Malahide Masonic Lodge # 140 AF & AM., Past President of the Aylmer Shrine Club, a member of the London Valley Scottish Rite, London Lodge of Perfection, Royal Order of Jesters and The Soverign Chapter of Rose Croix . He also enjoyed Tuesday night poker, fishing on the bay, hunting and his winters in Florida. Friend may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday March 15, 2013 at 11:00 am. Members of the Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial service 6:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment Aylmer Cemetery.
