Obituary of Martin Bauman

Baumann, Martin of RR4, Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, February 11, 2013 in his 75th year. Dear friend of the late Patsy Dorothy "Patricia" Brunelle (1999). Loving step-father of Michelle Barrett and husband Paul of St. Thomas, and Papa to Audrey, Pearl and Lillian Barrett. Martin who was born in Hungary on August 30, 1938, lived a simple life and enjoyed sipping a beer with his friends at the Central Hotel and the local Legion, and going for coffee each day at Clarkes. He was an extraordinary gardener and each year had surplus to share. Martin was a quiet man but if you asked him about his wine making or his ideas on something was more than happy to share his thoughts. He worked in Aylmer at the Carnation Factory along with his father and later Imperial Leaf Tobacco until his early retirement. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
