Barker, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, January 19, 2008. Irene Barker of Aylmer in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late "Bill" Clarence Barker(1999). Dear mother of Edna Watts and husband Jerry of Woodstock, Jack Barker of Ingersoll, Marion Barker of Ingersoll, Pat Smith and husband Barry of St. Thomas, Darlene Blackman of St. Thomas and Bill Barker and wife Dana of Paris. She will be sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in St. Thomas on April 30, 1929 daughter of the late Delos and Lena (Houghton) Zavitz. Irene was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Malahide United Church, the UCW and the Terrace Lodge Drop-in-Centre. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor George Walker officiating. Interment, Trinity Cemetery.
