Obituary of Jacob Giesbrecht

Giesbrecht, Jacob P. of Chateau Gardens, Aylmer passed away at St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Helena (Dyck) Giesbrecht. Dear father of Peter Giesbrecht and wife Susana of Aylmer, Anna Fehr and husband Jacob of Tillsonburg, Gerhord Giesbrecht and wife Agatha of Leamington, Aganetha Wall and husband John of Manitoba, David Giesbrecht and wife Sara of Texas, Johann Giesbrecht and wife Katharina of Aylmer, Eva Rempel and husband Jacob of Paraguay, Jacob Giesbrecht and wife Helena of Texas, Abram Giesbrecht and wife Maria of Leamington, Sara Braun and Abe of Aylmer, Helena Wiebe and husband Franz of Kingsville. He leaves behind 62 grandchildren and 76 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his children Katharina Rempel and husband David (1991), Benhord Giesbrecht (1981), Helena Giesbrecht (1962) and Gerhord Giesbrecht (1949). Born in Chihuahua Mexico on August 14, 1927 son of the late Peter and Anna (Peters) Giesbrecht. Jacob was a minister of The Old Colony Mennonite Church. The family received friends at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday and Thursday. The funeral service was held at The Old Colony Mennonite Church, Aylmer on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
