Verougstraete, Firmin of Putnam passed away at London Health Science Centre-University Hospital on Sunday, December 23, 2012 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the "Sally" Solange (Swaenepoel) Verougstraete. Dear father of Vivian Claessens(Bill) Aylmer, Ron Verougstraete(Sandra) of Belmont, John Verougstraete(Randi) of London, Ken Verougstraete(Shelley) of Putnam and Randy Verougstraete(Tracey) of Putnam. Loving Pepe of Cassandra, Shawna, Michael, Kaylee, Brady, Connor, Jayde, Colton and Kenzie. Brother of Germain, Theresa, Dina and Cecile. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Heule Belguim on March 16, 1929. Firmin was a tobacco farmer at Putnam for many years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 6-9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady or Sorrows R.C. Church on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
