Obituary of Jean Putnam

Putnam, Jean of R.R.4, Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Bill Putnam. Loving mother of Mary Lynne Magyar(Joe) of Corinth, Raymond Putnam of Port Bruce, Cheryl Wilson(Mark) of Aylmer, Robert Putnam(Heather) of Springfield and Valerie Young(Mike) of Aylmer. Dear sister of Bill Shackelton(Norma), Betty Dance, Carol Sheils(Jim), Linda Brower and Wanda Derewlany(Andy). Also survived by a brother-in-law Bob Putnam(Audrey), 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Jerry and Clifford Shackelton and a brother-in-law Raymond Dance. Born on October 11, 1934 daughter of the late Maurice and Stella (Grose) Shackelton. Jean was a member of St. Paul's United Church, the Springfield Lions Club and she was an avid gardener. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place.
