Eleanor and I became friends through Melaleuca and I will always remember her smile and friendliness towards others. She experienced some tough times yet seemed to rise above and embrace life. I learned from her example. Please know that I am thinking of all of you at this difficult time. Dale

Dearest Bev, dear Steve and family of Eleanor (Mela) I am very saddened to hear of Mela's passing and remember her with smiles on the occasions that we met at different parties here in Toronto. They say that 'chat' friends are not real, well, I beg to differ in a very LOUD voice, because I have met so many wonderful people over the years and Bev and her sister, Eleanor, were just two of them. Rest in peace, Mela ... love to all Kathy (QuietOneReally)

Bev, Steve and family it is with a saddened heart that we read the news of Eleanor and we will remember her as a gentle kind soul who loved you well and Bailey. We will always remember her kindness, her friendship and the laughs we shared. God Bless you during this trying time and know Eleanor will be sadly missed. Hugs Martha and Jim A letter from Heaven To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say. But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through. God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

Dear Bev and Steve: It is with great shock and extreme saddness that I learn of Eleanor's passing. She was a super lady..full of warmth...love and compassion for all the people she knew and met in her life. We had a special bond as friends that could only be described as a "sixth sense" that had each of us in contact when the sense was most important. We often laughed and chatted, and those memories will be locked in my heart and memory forever....I have been blessed to have known this wonderful lady as a true friend in my life...God Bless you "E"..peace be with you forever more...

I was saddened to hear about Eleanor. Having been with her and her beloved Bailey, on several occasions in the past, I got to know what a wonderful, kind, compassionate person she was. When first meeting her, her easy going personality, as well as her great sense of humor, made you feel at ease, as though you've known her for years. She will be greatly missed.

Steve and Bev: It is with a very heavy heart that I say goodbye to a very longtime friend and colleague. I will miss our many conversations and get-togethers over the years and am so grateful that Steve drove Eleanor recently so we could have lunch and share old times...it was wonderful; I will miss Eleanor's warm smile and hearty laughter. I was so blessed to have counted her as one of my dearest friends. I can picture her now with Bailey, who has been patiently waiting her mistress's arrival, so they can share a different world together. Thank you Steve for giving Eleanor some of her most happy times, she loved you dearly. Thank you Bev, for standing by your sister in her difficult times and sharing the good ones. My sincere condolences to all whose lives were touched and enriched by Eleanor's life here with us...she will be deeply missed. Deanna

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Eleanor. I met Eleanor when she got involved with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program with Bailey. They were such wonderful visitors for the elderly. I am sure that Bailey was waiting for Eleanor at Rainbow Bridge and they are finally together. I am really going to miss Eleanor and our long chats. My condolences go out to Steve and Katie and Eleanor's family. Vivian Hould
