Obituary of Doreen Soper

Soper (White), Doreen peacefully at her home in Tillsonburg on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Soper(1997) and the late Hugh White(1964). Doreen was a devoted mother and grandmother to her son Albert White(Rosemary) of Eden and grandchildren Judie Rice(Dan) of Eden and Amy Sorge(David) of London, Reg Rothwell(Judy) of Wyoming, Mark Rothwell(Lori) of Colorado and Debby Rothwell of Colorado. Loving great grandmother of Kyle and Taylor Rice. Also survived by a son-in-law Jim Buck of Colorado. Doreen appreciated her many nieces and nephews and the kindness they have shown over the years. Predeceased by her step-daughter Jean (White)(Rothwell) Buck(1994). Born in Belfast, Ireland on October 3, 1917, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Hamilton. Doreen came to Canada at the age of 3 with her parents. As a lover of antique dishes, Doreen enjoyed her volunteer work with the Aylmer and District Museum and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid sewer and loved to knit for family, church bazaars and the hospital. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment, Orwell Cemetery.
