Uncle Alexander was a special uncle. He always treated his nieces and nephews, even into our adulthood, as special members of his family. We will miss his prescence, his stories, his visits, his love for fiddle music and his fondness of Cape Breton. Love you, Alexander.

Alex and I spent many hours on the road to hockey games when his grandson David and our son Nathan played on the same team for ten years or more. I remember we had fun referring to myself as his girlfriend. We teased alot back and forth. He always had a new joke to tell. I was always impresses by his intelligence, we often did crossword puzzles together, waiting between games at hockey tournaments. I also remember him as being very generous with the kids. One year he paid for all the players to attend a London Knights hockey game and bought them their supper as well. He also took some of the boys fishing. I have to say that I havent seen him in recent years, but whenever I hear his name mentioned, I smile. I do see his son Glen from time to time, and have mentioned to him that he is just like his dad, and he responds, that he considers that a compliment. I agree. We shall miss Alex.

To Glenn and all of the MacDonald Family. I am truly saddened to hear of Alex's passing.. I always looked forward to visiting with him when Glenn would take me over to parents or when I would run into him at Glenn's. When I would come home to Aylmer at Christmas time I knew I would run into him uptown working the Optimist Christmas Toy Drive. He was a great man. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends..
