Neva Lillian Helmer of Caressant Care Bonnie Place, St. Thomas and formerly of Aylmer in her 106th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Helmer(1984). Dear mother of Donald Helmer and wife Margaret of St. Thomas and grandmother of David Helmer and Janet-Anne Helmer. Dear sister of Edna Neave of St. Thomas. Sister-in-law of Christine Shepherd of Colborne. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Frank, Douglas and Wesley Shepherd and sisters Mildred Heddle and Laura Yokum. Born in Elgin County on August 10, 1902 daughter of the late Melville and Harriet (Smith) Shepherd. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and the U.C.W. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
