Obituary of Gerard Ferguson

Ferguson, Gerard McAllister of Aylmer passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Ferguson (1999). Dear father of Brenda Ferguson and David Ferguson and his wife Joanna all of Aylmer. Loved by his grandchildren Andrew and Michael Ferguson. Brother-in-law of Winnifred Ferguson. He was predeceased by his brother Bruce Ferguson and sister Margaret Wallace Born in Calgary Alberta on December 23, 1921 son of the late James and Ruby (McAllister) Ferguson. Gerard came to Aylmer in 1946 from Delhi and worked at Imperial Tobacco for over 45 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church and had been superintendent of the Sunday School for many years. He was a former member of the Aylmer Lawn Bowling Club and a charter member of The Tennis Club. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm .The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Aylmer on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
