Obituary of Ellie Crosby

Eleanor (Ellie) Crosby of Parkview Hts., Aylmer, Ontario passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday October 9, 2012 in her 86th year. Born on January 14, 1927 in Stenen, Saskatchewan daughter of the late William and Anna McGerrigle. Beloved wife of the late Bill Crosby (1979). Ellie is survived by her brother James McGerrigle of Mirimichi, NB and sister Violet Durston of Dauphin, Manitoba. Ellie was an active founder of Youth Bowling at Cy's Lanes and was also an active bowler for over 50 years. She was a solid figure at Cy's and could be counted on in many ways. She was a lover of cards and loved a good laugh. Ellie had a great many friendships and cherished the company of the people she loved. We say a fond farewell to our trusted family friend Ellie. She will truly be missed by all her family and friends. St. Patty's Day won't be the same without you! She always said: "if I was any better, I'd be dangerous"! A memorial celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 21st, 2012 from 2 to 4pm at Cy's, 436 Talbot Street East, Aylmer, Ontario.
