I grew up knowing Elizabeth as Aunt Elizabeth... I'm not sure at what point I found out Elizabeth wasn't actually my aunt, but to this day she is "aunt" Elizabeth to me. I grew up in Calton and would often take walks up to the Calton Garage to see Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle John, especially during the summer months. My mom was working from home in those days and when we were home for summer holidays, we would drive her crazy. The only way she could get rid of us was to send us up to the garage with a few dollars. I remember picking out orange gatorade and oh henry chocolate bars and whatever else I wanted... whatever money I had was always "exactly" how much it cost according to Aunt Elizabeth. Now that I'm older I realize she always said that regardless of how many goodies we picked out. During the winter months I always looked forward to going to Aunt Elizabeth's and Uncle John's house to go swimming in their indoor pool with the really bouncy diving board! Aunt Elizabeth was an amazing lady - so great to myself and my siblings. She always had a positive spirit and had a way of spreading that feel-good feelings. She had Christmas dinner with my family a couple of years ago and it was the first time I had seen her in many years since I had moved away for university. She was still the same Aunt Elizabeth I remembered growing up. Since her passing, I've thought back to my childhood days over and over and I can say that Aunt Elizabeth certainly made an impact on me and my family. She will be missed. I will be thinking of her family. -Jackie-

Our children grew up with love and affection from "Aunt Elizabeth". Their countless trips to the Calton garage always yielded Veronica, Jackie, and Bobby a bag full of candy, chips, pop, chocolate bars and an invite for a swim at her house. Aunt Elizabeth loved to spoil them and they loved to be spoiled. It was a great arrangement. As the children grew up, her mark on their lives remained and Elizabeth became part of our Christmas and Thanksgiving Dinner celebrations. We loved her cabbage rolls and her cute Hungarian accent. She was a dear friend of our whole family and we will miss her.
