So many happy memories of a Woman that always smiled no matter the sadness, laughed no matter the pain and Loved no matter the heartache. Family was her world. I loved her then, I Love her now, I will miss her forever. My deepest sympathy to our family and anyone that knew her for their world will be forever changed without her in it. They say God only takes the best I now know this is true

I was very sad to get the news that Kay had passed on, but I know it was a long struggle for her these last few years.. I have long regarded her as a huge part of my life, for just shy of 20 years we spent each day as neighbours, friends and later in life as very close spirits. I valued her insight, and genuiness as something to always aspire to. Kay helped me grow into the person I am today, by listening to my million ideas, and my two million questions about love, life and all things jeep. She inspired me to get outside and do something even when I was at my most disabled. I always remember seeing her outside just after the sun came up, working all day in her gardens, and still going strong when the sun was going down. I usually just mumbled to myself that I am lazy compared to her, then I would go back to bed to for a while, but eventually I would wander over for tea. I could while away the hours with Cindy and Kay, learning about their history and adventures. Learning about plants, and quizing Cindy with movie trivia. I dearly miss our Survivor TV series watching nights, with ice cream and cake...and the TV so loud my ears would hurt. I miss Cindy almost every day, and I always mean to stop in and see her, though it has been a couple of years since I made it down to see anyone for a visit. Kay's passing reminds me yet again of the value of life, and how much the afternoon teas that I have with friends, family and my wife Heather really mean. When I look back at the Survivor days, they were some of the happiest of my life. All my love Kay, and I wonder if the flowers in heaven are half as beautiful as the ones you grew...
