I taught with Mrs Widner-I never called her Florence-at Davenport school for 7 yrs.I was just in my 3rd yr of teaching and very young and found her to be very caring and loved her students. her room was next to mine and she made me feel very welcomed to the new Sr Public school

Certain teachers stand out in your memory and you remember them with fondness. Even though I was young, Mrs. Widner was one of those special teachers. My deepest condolences to the family on your loss.

I was so pleased to meet my former grade 4 teacher at Terrace Lodge when I was in Aylmer this past June visiting my mom. I will forever remember that meeting and also the year she was my teacher at McGregor School.

My condolences to you on the death of Auntie Florence. Mom spoke of her often and told of their earlier years when they were so close in age for an Auntie and neice. Sorry I cannot get to the funeral, as I am at my trailer in Burks Falls getting ready for final close-up. My thoughts are with you. Jean

What can I say about Florence Widner-she was a EXCELLENT teacher, friendly, kind, loving, smart, wonderful and much more. Not only will I remember her as my teacher but years later she asked me to be guest speaker at her class. She was loved by not just students but anyone she met. She is now an angel with the lord. God Bless
