Dear John and family: I am so sorry for your loss. Your father will be greatly missed. I saw him many times over the years as he would visit the dental office where I assist. He was a professional and a gentleman in every way. I always read his editorials and found them interesting and educational as well. Take care and God bless.

Jane, John, Joan and families, My sincere thoughts are with you all. My mother,Rose Chartrand had worked for many years for your Grandmother, Mrs. Edith Hueston. Your Dad was instrumental in providing my Mother with a lifetime pension which she was forever grateful for. I last talked with your Father on the death of my Mother, May 19, 2001. He was indeed a perfect gentleman and told me how very important my Mother was in Mrs. Hueston's life. His words at that time were deeply appreciated and I wish to offer you all the same. I remember many stories of his visits to Mrs. Hueston's and how Mom was always included as Family thanks to your Dad. He must have been a very Special Man. Cherish your memories as I do. Sincerely, Ann Cornell

Dear John, I was saddened to learn of your father's passing. I wasn't aware of his service with the Essex Scottish Regiment in the raid on Dieppe. I grew up in Windsor where we always had the greatest of respect for the brave young men who participated in that military operation. Your father certainly was one of those gentlemen that Tom Brokaw referred to in his wonderful book, "The Greatest Generation". You must be very proud of your father and the legacy that he left behind. Mark Pfaff

Dear Mrs. Hueston and families. Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you and your family during this time. Our Mother Rose Chartrand helped to take care of your dear mother-in-law Mrs. Edith Hueston. Our mother loved and enjoyed all the years she was there. During that time we had the pleasure of meeting Arthur on many occasions. He was a great man and had a very exciting long life. God Bless, love from all of us. Edna, Jackie, Gus and Ann, Rose's children.

Our sympathy to the Hueston family on the loss of their dad: a great newspaperman and Aylmerite. As an Editor and Owner , Art was always engaged and had a keen interest in his town and in provincial and national politics. We frequently disagreed with his take on things, but he made the time to listen. Aylmer will be much poorer without Art.
