MARJORIE GRANT (WATTERWORTH) 1916 to 2012 Passed away at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital on January 21, 2012 at the age of 95 after a well-lived life. Born in Ridgetown in 1916, Marjorie Blanche Watterworth was raised in Summers Corners and lived her adult life in Straffordville and Aylmer. She was the wife of the late Lloyd D. Grant (1960). Beloved mother of sons David (Mari Carmen) of Cambridge and Dwight (Mary Yoder) of San Francisco and her daughters Catharine (Tom) Shea and Cynthia Grant of Toronto. She is also survived by grandchildren Jackie, Lesley and David Grant; Alexis and Colin Grant; Courtney, Cynthia, and Hilary Shea; Zoe and Dylan Grant-Wilson. As well, she took great joy in her great-grandchildren, Nicole and Alison Grant. Fondly remembered by step-grandchildren Edgar and Sarahi Hernandez and friends Ferne Taggert, Lisa Hill and Tina Carson. Born in Ridgetown, Marjorie Blanche Watterworth thrived on farms there and in Summers Corners along with brothers Robert and her beloved Donald Watterworth. An excellent student, she graduated top of her class at East Elgin Secondary School by 16. She began her working life in a local law office and retired selling farm insurance, a business she continued after the death of husband Lloyd D. Grant. An avid and accomplished athlete, she was a long-time member of the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club in Union and Pleasant Valley and the Aylmer Curling Club. She holds the distinction of both having skipped an 8-ender in curling and scored a hole-in-one in golf. She was a lifelong member of the Aylmer Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at H. A.
