Obituary of Blanche Shackleton

Shackleton, peacefully at R.R.#1, Springfield on Monday, June 18, 2007. E. Blanche Shackleton of Belmont in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Verne Shackleton(1992). Loving mother of Judy Brown and partner Gary Gill of Dorchester, Janet Rigsby and husband Jim of R.R.#1, Springfield, Norm Shackleton and wife Ethel of R.R.#1, Ennismore, Brenda Dale and husband Dave of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Bruce Shackleton and wife Sharon of R.R.#1 Belmont and Paul Shackleton of R.R.#2, Mossley. Dear sister of Jack Hawley and wife Marie and sister-in-law of Marilyn Hawley. She will be sadly missed by 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Bill Hawley. Born in Malahide Township on April 21, 1922 daughter of the late Bruce and Hazel (Marr) Hawley. Blanche and her friend Ann Donkers spent the winters in Florida for over 30 years. She was a member of the Belmont United Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Dorchester Union Cemetery.
