Obituary of Clarence VanLingen

VanLingen, peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Klaas "Clarence" VanLingen of Aylmer in his 67th year. Beloved husband of forty years of Jean (Hyde) VanLingen. Dear father of Mark VanLingen of Aylmer. Dear brother of John VanLingen, Melvin VanLingen(Gisselle), Fred VanLingen(Elsa), Andy VanLingen(Karen), Henry VanLingen. Also survived by a brother-in-law Albert DeSchiffert and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Cheryle VanLingen and his Sister Edith DeSchiffert. Born in Burum The Netherlands on September 18, 1940 son of the late Teake and Anna (Mieda) VanLingen. Clarence came to Canada in 1951. He was a member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church and worked at Timken for 29 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church (South Street West at Caverly Rd.) on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00 am.
