Obituary of Gordon Stanley

Stanley, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, March 24, 2007. Gordon Leslie Stanley of St. Thomas in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Vivian (Ostrander) Stanley. Loving father of David of Dutton, James and wife Beverley of Cambridge, Donna Ball and husband Don of St. Thomas and Eva Jacques of St. Thomas. Dear brother of Alice Kirk of St. Thomas. He will be sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in Sparta on September 10, 1920 son of the late Leslie and Mabel (Kirk) Stanley. He loved to entartain with his music. For years, Gordon and his band played to audiences from Port Bruce to Shedden. Visitation at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 p.m. Private interment in the Union Cemetery.
