Purdy, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, January 28, 2007. Gracey Purdy of Aylmer in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Purdy (1989). Dear sister of Edna Mac Intyre of Springfield. Sister-in-law to Anne Purdy of Speculator New York. Loving aunt of David MacIntyre and wife Sherrill, Bill MacIntyre and wife Sharon, Lois Lounsbury and husband Warren and Kevin MacIntyre and wife Lisa, Carolyn Schoen, Gordon, Richard and Robert Purdy. She will be sadly missed by a number of great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Harold Leeson. Born in Springfield on April 8, 1909 daughter of the late Tyler and Emma (Gracey) Leeson. Gracey was an elementary school teacher for 33 years teaching at Mt.Salem, Glencolin, White School and Summers Corners. Gracey was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and Sunday School secretary for over 50 years. She was superintendent of the Cradle Roll for over 60 years and secretary of Arkess Rebekah Lodge #168, Springfield for over 30 years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Pastor John Twinem, officiating.
