Zimmer, Matt of Summers Corners passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Marlene(Kirk) Zimmer. Dear father of Mitch Zimmer(Maria) of London and Merrill Taylor(Bud) of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Mason, Laura(Anthony) and Kirsten. Proud great-grandfather of Hunter. Brother to Pauline Prendergast and Elizabeth Osborne. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Michael, Walter, Ambrose, Joseph, Anthony, Henry, Fred, Ed and Sister Josepha. Born in Windhorst, Saskatchewan on November 5, 1932, son of the late Peter and Evelyn(Baer) Zimmer. Matt was a tobacco and cash crop farmer. He was a great storyteller. He had fond memories growing up on the family farm with his friends and family. He loved spending time cutting wood and fishing. Matt was a handyman and was very skilled at fixing things around the home and farm. He loved baking strudel, breads and was a great chef. A private family service will be held.
