Obituary of Vera Jones

VERA FLORENCE JONES peacefully and surrounded by many family who love her, at St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital, St.Thomas on Saturday, December 31, 2011. Vera Florence (Charlton) Jones of R.R.#6 Aylmer and formerly of Port Bruce in her 85th year. Dear aunt of her special great-niece Kim Willsey, special great-nephew Jim Hasson and great-great nieces Danielle Caskanette, Morgan and Marleigh Hasson. She will be missed by her two favourite friends and companions Coco and Kobi. She will be sadly missed by her best friend of 67 years, Louise Alton of London. Loving sister of Herbert Charlton of St. Thomas. Loving aunt, great-aunt and great-great aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her big sister Edna Willsey and her husband Clarence; brother Ansel Charlton and his wife Dorothy; and sister-in-law Margaret Charlton. Predeceased by husband Leroy Jones. Born on July 18, 1927 daughter of the late John and Luveda (Brown) Charlton. Vera is a longstanding resident of the Aylmer area and made many friendships while working in the food service industry. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 7-9 p.m and one hour prior to the service at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Necropolis Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke would be appreciated.
