John Dyck finished his earthly race and entered into the rest of the Lord on December 12, 2024 in his home with his family around him.
John was a welder by trade but was not afraid to dip his toe into various side businesses as well.
He was best known and loved for his quick wit, bringing laughter and joy with him wherever he went. His love for his family was unparalleled. He left absolutely no doubt that his family was his most treasured possession this side of heaven. He loved them deeply and was loved deeply in return.
John was born on June 24, 1950 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Kornelius and Maria Dyck. He was baptized into the faith on May 28, 1972 at Old Colony Mennonite Church by Bishop Jacob Penner of Manitoba. He married his sweetheart and best friend, Maria Dyck nee Dyck on March 4, 1973. Together they built a life based on their faith in God and raised 4 children.
John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria Dyck, children Lisa Falk (Pete), Lena Bergen (Abe), Sara Klassen (Neil) and Benjamin Dyck (Christina); grandsons Alex Falk, Isaiah Bergen, Brandon Klassen (Margaret), Luke Bergen, Michael Klassen (Olivia) and Sean Klassen (Destiny); granddaughters Emily Falk (Sam), Nicole Falk, Candace Bergen, Zoe Dyck, Ava Dyck, and Mia Dyck; great-grandson Spencer Klassen and great-granddaughter McKenna Klassen. John is also survived by two sisters, Maria Redekop (Jacob) and Aganetha "Nettie" Dyck and many brothers and sisters-in-law. John was predeceased by both parents, five brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Bradley Street Church of God on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
