Obituary of Frank Harder

Harder, Frank of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, November 17, 2024 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Helena Harder and the late Sara(Janzen) Harder (2016). Dear father of Margaret Harder(Dale Hainer) of Aylmer, Katharine Siemens of Springfield, Susan Wiebe of Cochrane, Alberta, Sara Wall of Vancouver, Jake Harder (Brenda Ellah) of Aylmer, Art Harder (Darlene) of Aylmer, Frank Harder (Sandra) of Aylmer, Mari Mair (Kirk) of Ottawa and Abe Harder (Cathy) of St. Thomas. Loved by many step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Brother of Kathy Knelsen, John Harder(Aggie), Helen Wiebe(Peter), Annie Wall(Isaac), Jake Zacharias(Tina), Frank Zacharias(Sara) and Sara Froese(late Peter). Predeceased by sisters Sara Zacharias(Henry), Mary Wolf(John), brothers Isaac Harder(Kathy), Jake Harder(Maria) and in-laws Sara Harder and David Knelsen.  Born in Durango, Mexico on May 18, 1933, of the late Jacob and Katharina (Enns) Harder. He retired from Steelway in 1998. Frank was a Deacon at the Reinland Mennonite Church for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and building furniture for his family. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Reinland Mennonite Church on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Old Colony Mennonite Cemetery.
