Obituary of Ivan Weber

Weber, Ivan M. of Straffordville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in his 80^th year. Ivan was born to the late Amos and Annie Weber on January 13, 1945. On December 21, 1967, he married Minerva(Martin) Weber. In addition to his dear wife, he is survived by his children, Ellen(Cleon)Martin, of Clifford, David of Norwich, Derek of Norwich, and Crystal(Dave) Bergen of Norwich. He was loved by his nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Nancy(late Onias), brothers Sidney(Eva), Harvey(Maryanne) and John(Earla) and sister-in-law Sarah(Ervin). He was predeceased by his parents, brother Henry and daughter Elizabeth and foster son Andrew. Ivan surrendered his life to Christ in his youth. In 1994, he was ordained to the ministry. Through the years his focus was on serving the church and sharing God’s peace and forgiveness.

Visitation will be held at the Corinth Mennonite Church on Tuesday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Bradley Street Church of God, Aylmer on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Richmond Cemetery.
