Obituary of Paul Faulds

Faulds, Paul of Lyons passed away peacefully with his family by his side at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, November 4, 2024 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Shirley(McLean) Faulds. Dear father of Sarah Leitch(Wesley) and Jamie Faulds(Sarah). Loving and proud grandfather of Shannon, Ashley and Erin Leitch, Jack and Avery Faulds. Brother-in-law to Joan Hay(Lorne), Keith McLean(Debbie) and Karen Balazsity(Gerry). He will be missed by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a brother Philip Faulds.  Born in South Dorchester Twp., Ontario on April 10, 1942, son of the late G. Wilfrid and Audrey(Rohrer)  Faulds. Paul was a secondary school teacher at Glendale High School and Norwich District High School. He served on South Dorchester and Malahide Township councils, was Deputy Mayor for Malahide Township council and on the Land Division Registry board. Paul was an active charter member of South Dorchester Optimist Club(Lyons). He was a member of the Elgin County Plowing Association, the Soil and Crop Association and a chairman of the Transportation Committee of the 2010 International Plowing Match. He was a life-long cash crop farmer. Paul was an elder and lifetime member of Mapleton Church of Christ (Disciples). He had a big heart for his community and most of all his family; always taking an interest in his grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Interment, Necropolis Cemetery. Donations to the Mapleton Church of Christ (Disciples) or the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
