Obituary of Murray McEown

McEown, Murray of Aylmer passed away at London Health Science Centre- Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Donna(Hilliker) McEown. Dear father of Tammy McEown, Dwayne McEown and Bobbi Lynn Knott(Brett). Loving grandfather of Austin, Colton, Alisha, Lindsay and great-grandfather of Willow. Brother of Earl, Gordon(Mary), Roy(Rose), Alvin(Cheryl), Bertha Matlack(late Ken), Sarah Brazier, Darlene McEown. Brother-in-law of John Hilliker(Georgina), Connie McCabe(late Gus) and Frances McEown. He will be missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Stephen and Richard(Cynthia), nephew Darcy and brother-in-law Jim. Born in Malahide Township, Ontario on October 11, 1946, son of the late Glenn and Thelma(Wiley) McEown. Murray owned and operated McEown Auto Electric in Mount Salem for many years. In later years, he operated a heating & cooling business as well as he drove for the Amish. He was a former member of the East Elgin Sportsman Club and was a past President of the Aylmer Fair Board. He was involved in the Horseman Club showing quarter horses. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
