Drenth, Christian “Chris” of Aylmer passed away peacefully at home with his three daughters by his side on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Ann(Friend) Drenth(2022). Dear father of Christey-Ann Veldman(Ed) of Lethbridge, Gwen Drenth(Scott Johnson) of Cambridge and Julia Smit of Cambridge.  Loving grandfather of Melissa, Janelle(Jordan), Michael(Kristi), Scott(Ashley), Kurtis(Michelle), Dylan(Dakota), Matthew and great-grandfather of Naomi, Caleb, Liam, Sarah and Taya. Brother of Jake, John(Doreen) and Janet McIntyre. He will be missed by the Mantel family and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Geertje. Born in Hoogezand, The Netherlands on May 1, 1929, son of the late Hendrik and Harmke(Smallenbroek) Drenth. Chris worked at Amtelecom for many years. In retirement, he enjoyed helping Ann with her projects, volunteering at the Mission Thrift Store, camping at Lakewood Christian Campground, reading, taking long walks or cycling around town and through Springwater. He took great pleasure in a cup of tea and reading the Aylmer Express. Chris was a dedicated member of Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.  Donations to Catfish Creek Conservation Authority (Springwater Conservation Area) would be appreciated.
