Hugo is very missed… He was truly a nice and thoughtful neighbour and friend.
Over the years he has watched our kids grow. He was always around for visits from any of us - his baking was legendary.
Always loved his stories and warm humour - he definitely had a twinkle in his eye.
He truly glowed when his grandson came to visit.
Our deepest condolences for his loss.

Dear Rose, Fred and Otto,
I was very sad to read of Hugo's passing. I remember the joy you all felt when he emigrated to Canada to be near all of you following such a along separation. We send our deepest condolences to you and the entire extended family, both here and in the U.S. and Germany.

I had the pleasure of working with Hugo at the Talbotville plant, and then we ended up becoming good friends. After his retirement me and my wife (who he adored) would visit Hugo in Port Stanley, and he would come to visit us in London. He never missed a birthday and we never missed his. We were so happy we had a chance to visit with him a couple weeks before his passing. We had a very nice visit and he seemed to perk up the longer we were there even though we knew he was having issues breathing. We both loved Hugo very much and his passing was very hard news to hear. Our hearts go out to his family and friends! ❤️

I have known Hugo for many years as he was a very good friend of my husband who worked with him at the ford plant. It was many years ago he found his son and he talked to him over the phone from our house. I had the privilege of meeting his son when he came home to see his Dad after many years. RIP Hugo for you will be deeply missed

I was so sad to read this news. I met Hugo years ago while I was a bank teller. He has always been such a gentleman. We have kept in touch and I last saw him a couple of weeks ago. He was excited for me to meet his grandson who was visiting from Germany. I got the biggest hug from him and had hoped to visit again. Hugo, you will be missed by many !♥️
