Loewen, John of Aylmer passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital following a severe stroke on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in his 75^th year. Beloved husband of the late Susana(Klassen) Loewen(2003). Dear father of Aber Loewen of Aylmer, Sarah Thiessen(William) of Mount Salem, Martha Carina(Aurel) of Hamilton, Lena Engelbrecht(Jeff) of Chilliwack, B.C., Erwin Loewen of Aylmer and Marianne Hauser of Tillsonburg. Grandfather to Jasmin(Andrew), Jocelyn, Kaden, Annalise and Alexa. Great-grandfather to Charlotte. Also survived by brothers Wilhelm, Peter, Diedrich, Frank, sisters Anna, Elena, Eva, Agatha and Tina and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Susana and brothers George and Henry. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on June 27, 1950, son of the late Henry and Sara(Thiessen) Loewen. John built and repaired tobacco harvesting equipment and found great joy riding horses. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday from 1-4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Bradley Street Church of God on Monday, September 2, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
