Gail had a brilliant mind and graduated from the University of Western in 1969 as one of the few women who graduated with a degree in Science. She worked in Toronto as a forensic scientist early in her career.
Gail and Ed then made a decision to move to Rodney, to Ed’s family farm, where they chose to raise their beautiful family. In addition to being instrumental in the farm’s success, Gail was community minded and a leader in advocating and establishing the first pre-school day care in the community. She subsequently set up a successful driver’s education business in the Southwest region, taking pride in teaching numerous students for over ten years.
In 2014, Gail and Ed retired to Coboconk in the Kawarthas, an area she truly loved and the place of many childhood memories. She and Ed created a home on the water that was their piece of paradise and tranquility. Gail so enjoyed the many colourful sunsets, beautiful reflections on the calm waters and the evening loons. Gail cherished time with her children, grandchildren and enjoyed reading, classical music, camping, baseball, and curling.
