The passing of my sister Sharon has been very hard. I so wanted her out of her Parkinson’s misery but I didn’t want her to leave. Also Sharon is the first of the five sisters to pass which adds to the difficulty of dealing with her death. Sharon was always upbeat and pleasant and she always was such a fashion statement! How she loved to shop for clothes! She had so much she never got a chance to wear it all. I have a lovely memory of Sharon in her teens jiving at the Stadium Youth Club with her good friend Ann Janes. She was really good. Sharon so enjoyed her cats over the years and she would regale you with stories about them. She had such a sharp sense of humour. I feel I’m breathing easier now that Sharon is finally able to be at rest.

My Dear Aunt Sharon, she’s hard to put into words! But if you tried, they’d be funny, quick witted, adventurous, fashionable, fiercely stubborn, smart, and unapologetically independent. The one who refused to go to breakfast in the home because she wasn’t done up, refusing to go without makeup or a perfectly put together outfit.
She loved playing with my hair anytime I passed. She’d call often as I was her personal IT expert to say her tv wasn’t working again, but oh no she didn’t do anything to it! She loved her outfit matching in all one color and buying outfits she liked in every color they came in. As long as she could use the phone she was ordering her fashion off the shopping channel!
Aunt Sharon was fun to be around and I’m so glad we got the opportunity to take her on her last road trip in 2019 and now spend some of her last days together.
Forever in our hearts and wardrobe, finally rest easy my friend.

Steen and family,
I'm sadden to hear of Sharon's passing. When I think of Sharon I think of her dancing and singing in the office to "I don't wanna Work, I wanna Bang on the Drum All day"! I hope Sharon is at peace and banging that drum all day!
Rest in peace Sharon. Dana Wilson

Growing up in Newfoundland I didn't get to see Sharon as much as I would have liked, but she always made up for that when she would visit by spending lots of time with me and just being her silly, funny self. She was always "the fun aunt" and I never lived down the time I let it slip that she was my favorite aunt, when another aunt called saying "It's your favorite aunt!" and I replied "Aunt Sharon!!", I was corrected as to who it was that was calling however I exclaimed "OH NO, Aunt Sharon is my favorite". She was the original cat-person of the family and her cat-loving genes are still around in a few of us. The stories I've heard is that my mother was the only red-head in the family, however I came across this picture of Sharon at 6 years old, surprisingly in colour for 1955, which would prove that red hair was a more common trait in the Lannon woman when they were young than we previously thought.
I'll always remember the time she spent with me and her numerous wet-willies and how she was a founding member of the "slobber sisters" who would give lots of hugs and kisses.

Sincere condolences to Steen
I have great sadness and sorry in the passing of my sweet sister Sharon.
She was a great sister who was caring, kind and thoughtful.
She always kept in contact with her sisters and I will miss hearing her voice, Sharing time with her in person or by FaceTime.
She was a fashionista, always coordinated from head to toe.
She was quite intelligent and as beautiful inside as she was on the outside.
She had a sassy sense of humour which I always enjoyed.
Her struggle with Parkinson’s lasted almost 3 decades and left her in great frustration and debilitated.
It brings a sort of comfort that she is no longer suffering and her mind and body are now at rest.
I will be honoured and privileged to have myself and my son, Sean, attend her “Celebration of Life” and bring her back home with us to be laid to rest with our Mom and Dad.

I remember as a little girl thinking how Aunt Sharon was always so put together, hair always just so and clothing impeccable. Oh the clothes!! Once she gave me a pair of mustard coloured pants and I thought they were so cool!!
Shar (as Mum called her) had a sharp wit and was quick to laugh, never one to keep her comments too quiet (that’s a family trait). She and I shared a similar humour, sometimes laughing at each other’s jokes when no one else got them.
When I was 12 and our family was moving north, we got to stay ‘in the city’ with Aunt Sharon for a few days during a snowstorm. I remember the relentless chattering through the walls as the adults sat up talking well into the wee hours. There was always laughter, food, talking (again, a family trait).
You are a classic, never out of style. It’s going be strange, the Lannon sisters now numbering 4, but I know you’ll be close by.
Rest in peace.
