My sincere condolences to the Quarry family. I worked at OPC with Eleanor and she always had a smile. Don’t be fooled by her quiet demeanour because she was a mighty lady. Eleanor would spend her lunch hour in the gym, running, weight training or participating in staff fitness classes. Each year I tested Eleanor on the Ontario Police Fitness Award and she would get a perfect score of 100%. But, what I remember most is that before she retired she completed 125 perfect push-ups on the test. This was about 5X what she needed to do! It sums up Eleanor’s character of true grit, determination and dedication.
Rest In Peace.

With the loss of Eleanor, sincere sympathy is sent to Marshall, Scott and Pam and Cathy. Eleanor was always smiling, thoughtful and helpful at OPC. If memory serves, we sometimes walked together around the College on our coffee breaks. Although we didn't see each other often in retirement, emails were sent in both directions. Recipes were exchanged. Those recipes shared with me will now be a cherished recollection of Eleanor, our time together at the College and of our shared emails in retirement.

Our condolences to Marsh and family. Eleanor was a very good friend and will certainly be missed. We shared her love for animals and enjoyed riding with her at Sparta. We have a picture that Marsh took of Bill and I with Eleanor on our horses the last time we got to ride together.

Dear Marsh and family. Words fall short of expressing our profound sorrow for your loss: of an irreplaceable and devoted wife, a dedicated and loving mother, an adoring grandmother, and a very dear friend. Eleanor was an outstanding person filled with wonderful qualities. She was an absolute honour to know. I spent 29 years under the roof of the Ontario Police College and as well as receiving excellent assistance from Eleanor, we enjoyed numerous and delightful conversations: a valued colleague; a treasured friend. So many stories … lt’s hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember. There are times when there are too few words left to heal us, when what we wish for is to be carried, when all we have left is the hope that tomorrow will be a gentler place to land than today. Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality. Forever remembered, forever missed. Always in our hearts and our thoughts.
Affectionately, Phil and Wendy Hutchin.

So sorry to hear of Eleanor's passing. I was privileged to work with Eleanor at the Ontario Police College. Eleanor was always smiling and upbeat. She was well known at OPC for her commitment to physical fitness. Eleanor would annually complete the Ontario Police Fitness Award testing always scoring 100%. During a Special Olympics Torch Run from Aylmer to Tillsonburg she asked if she could run the entire distance (most runners where taking turns running a leg of total distance) Eleanor completed the entire distance.....big smile on her face as she ran in to the OPP Tillsonburg parking lot. When complimented on her commitment to fitness she would say " Thank you but you know I don't turn down the opportunity to enjoy a delicious chocolate brownie" I will always think of Eleanor when I enjoy a delicious chocolate brownie. Our sincere condolences to Marsh, family and friends.

Alexis and I first met Marsh and Eleanor when we moved to this wonderful neighborhood just down the road from them in 2016. Eleanor had this incredible aura about her. And those eyes! When she looked at you she was reaching into the middle of your soul and she cast a web of friendship over us that we have always cherished. She was physically tiny but tough as nails. She worked very hard on their farm mucking stalls and hand bombing bales of hay and straw. I remember telling her that with those guns on her I would never arm wrestle her! She loved her animals and took great care of them. She was also very sharing with her animals. Our grandkids loved visiting and communing with the goats and that wonderful donkey General.
Her passing is devastating for us. We will always remember her with great fondness. We are so grateful that she allowed us to be part of her life.
Marsh, Scott, Pam, Cathy and Kris we are so sorry for your loss.

Eleanor was a true treasure and an example of how people can have so many dimensions beyond what they do. I knew Eleanor through her intellect, patience and kindness as she supported myself as others to learn and grow while we worked together at the Ontario Police College. I knew her from her discipline and focus when our paths crossed at the gym and she was working on next years fitness pin. She was also a colleague who always had the time to listen and share her experiences. Eleanor was so many things to those who were lucky enough to know her and to her family, deepest condolences for all the loss of his special lady and the ways she was there for you.

So sad to hear of Eleanor's passing. I worked with Eleanor at the Ontario Police College. My office was just across the hall from the library, so we chatted often. Such a delightful and interesting lady. Eleanor was very proud of Marsh, and frequently shared his nature photos, absolutely stunning. The bird pics were my favourites. We also met frequently in the gym, she was very committed to physical fitness and wore her annual fitness pins with pride. I feel very blessed to have known Eleanor. Condolences to the family...xo

To my Dear friend Cathy,
It’s been a lifetime of friendship for us meeting in Kindergarten. I will remember your Mom fondly. I think one of my best memories would be spending time on the Sail boat in Port Stanley. Hold your memories close and cherish them always . I am grateful that I got to see your Mom a few weeks ago.
Sending love to you, Kris and the kids, your Dad, and your brother and family.
You’re always in my thoughts and prayers and more so now.
Love you!
Friends always,
