Obituary of Jim McKinnon

With loving hearts, the family of Jim (Malcom) Derek McKinnon announce his passing on March 30, 2024, in his 77th year.  Jim passed away peacefully at home, in his chair (“his spot”), with his family.  He is survived by the love of his life and caring wife, Karen McKinnon (Nesbitt) of 53 years, and his two "girls", Bobbi (Chris) Humphrey, and Bonnie (Jason) Sliwinski.  He was a doting Grampy to Ashlyn (Haldan) and Ryan (Jessica).

Dear brother of Doug (Margaret) and brother-in-law of Bonnie, Bob (Barb), Ted and Paul. Loving Uncle to many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his sisters Dorothy and Barbara and brothers-in-law Ron and Chris.

Jim was the owner/operator of Talbotville Transport for many years.  He was a comical and quick witted person who loved his beers, his Packers, Blue Jays and Red Wings.  He enjoyed puttering around in his yard, growing beautiful flowers, spending time with his family and friends, riding his "Harley" and going to Timmie’s each morning.  Jim's greatest love was his family who he considered his entire world. He was the ultimate "girl dad", who only ever wanted daughters. We cannot put into words how much he will be missed by so many.  His smile, laughter and jokes will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Any charitable donations can be made to Harvest Hands, St.Thomas. Please take a moment to share a memory at kebbelfuneralhome.com

Special thank you to all of the wonderful support received that enabled Jim to remain comfortable in his home.  We are truly blessed.
