Obituary of Abram Giesbrecht
Giesbrecht, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thuesday, October 26, 2006. Abram A. Giesbrecht of Aylmer in his 88th year. Beloved wife of Annie (Klassen) Giesbrecht and the late Agatha (Bueckert) Giesbrecht. Dear father of Susan Friesen and husband Bill, Isaac Giesbrecht, Mary Banman and husband Corni, Agatha Klassen and husband Dave, Abe Giesbrecht and wife Judi, Annie Friesen and husband Frank, Margaret Bergen and husband Isaac, Jake Giesbrecht and wife Agatha, John Giesbrecht and wife Mary, Trudy Lavers and husband Rick, Tina Neufeld, Lisa Reddekopp and husband Ben, Lena Kovacs and husband John and Henry Giesbrecht. Also survived by a sister Trudy and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters. Born in Saskatchewan on January 4, 1919. Abram lived in Eden for a many years and moved to Aylmer in 1999. He was a mechanic at Vandenbrink Farm Equipment over 25 years. Abram was a member and song leader of the Old Colony Mennonite Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Old Colony Mennonite Church, Dingle Street, Aylmer. Interment, Old Colony Mennonite Cemetery. Bishop Herman Bergen, officiating.
