Deepest Condolences, Cathy, Grant, Andy, Jen, Sue, Mike, Ron, Donna, Glenn, Penny and Connie and families on the loss of your husband, dad, brother and friend. Can honestly say I looked up to Dad with the utmost of respect and admiration. Used to watch out my bedroom window in the winter and watch him clear the post office parking lot of snow at 3 am as he made Springfield safe while most were asleep. As a kid it was so exciting to go over to "the Bearss's" and watch the arrival of a "New-to-Dan" Tractor or combine.Pretty sure Springfield had the biggest and best community Rink around. Dan taught me not to play on combines and I appreciate it. As a young adult, when I was allowed to use the shop to work on my car, it meant the world to me. The shop was a place that a lot of magic happened by one of the smartest men in the world, and he is Dan Bearss, whom I have been so blessed to of had in my life. Dear Cathy and family, We are so very sorry to hear of Dan's passing. Honesty and integrity were the foundation on which Dan built his life. Dear Cathy, Susie, Mike and Rory, Andy and Jen, Grant, and families. Words fall short of expressing our sorrow for your loss. Dan was “one of the good guys.” He was an outstanding person filled with wonderful traits and an absolute honour to know. He is irreplaceable and it’s hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember. There are times when there are too few words left to heal us, when what we wish for is to be carried, when all we have left is the hope that tomorrow will be a gentler place to land than today. Grandpa, thanks for simply being there for me whenever I needed you. Because of you I am who I am today and I will never forget that. You have gave me so many memories to look back at and have provided me with the perfect childhood. You are not only my grandfather, but my best friend. Dear Cathy, Sue, Grant and Andy. When I moved to Aylmer in 2011, I met Sue and Mike Gobeil, I was almost instantly adopted into your family, and still to this day, feel part of this family. Dan you were a true gentleman always, and I remember at every gathering, you telling me stories of so many things, the one that stood out to me, were the agreements you would make with folks, and always told me, your word and the handshake, were your promise and commitment. I have so many memories, and remember how you treated everyone equally. Thanks for including me in your family, and making me feel so belonged. I will cherish your memory forever in my heart, I along with many, will miss you so dearly. RIP Sir, you were one of the good ones.
