Silverthorn, at Chateau Gardens, Aylmer on Wednesday October 18, 2006. M. Shirley Silverthorn of Aylmer in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late William Silverthorn. Dear mother of Marie Summers of Aylmer, Pat and husband Don Bowers of Grimsby, Dianne and husband Harry Bartley of R.R.# 1 Belmont, and Barb and husband Ron Moczulski of Bayfield. Sister of Emilie Masecar of Brampton. Predeceased by brothers Chester, Gordon, and Stanley McGratten, a sister Ethel Johnson and a son-in-law Lyle Summers. Loved by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Born in Wawanosh Township, Huron County on September 28, 1921 daughter of the late David and Jennie (Ryan) McGratten. Shirley had lived most of her life in the Aylmer and London area. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 7-9pm and Saturday October 21, 12:30-1:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 1:30 pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev. Norman Jones, officiating.
