Charlie was the first person I met in kindergarten. We remained friends ever since. He was hardworking, stubborn, sarcastic and funny . He made me laugh every time I talked with him.
A couple of years ago, my oldest son drove through a fence, a condition of him not getting charged was that he had to fix the fence. I was away on a trip, I asked Charlie if he would show him what to do . Charlie gladly helped out and went with Jacob and showed him what to do. Later that night I called home to see how it went, he said Charlie showed me what to do then just talked to the guy who owned the farm the whole time, he didn’t help at all. I laughed and said, Charlie told me he made you do all the work , because he didn’t drive through the fence, you did, and if I did the work you wouldn’t learn anything!
My condolences to his family. He loved Melanie, Rebecca and Alycia with all his heart. Proud husband and father.
