Obituary of Peter Afman
Afman, Peter Kornelis of Aylmer passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Mary(Cummings) Afman. Dear father of Shannon Thompson(Jesse) of Aylmer, Megan Afman of Waterloo and Miranda Johnson(Brent) of Aylmer. He will be missed by his amazing grandchildren Jack and Reed Thompson and Audrey Johnson. Brother of Edna Prins(Jack), Theo Afman(late Betty), Annie Vandenboogaard(Bill), late Bonnie Ostrander(Wayne) and late Ada Stevens(Angelo). Son-in-law of Claire Hepburn and brother-in-law of Mark Cummings(Tracey), Jo-Anne Stinson, John Cummings(Sharon), Peggy Cummings(Deb), Bob Cummings(Anita) and Carolyn MacMillan(Kevin). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Baflo, The Netherlands on October 13, 1950, son of the late Ben and Tina(Vriezema) Afman. Pete drove transport for Auto Haulaway for many years and in retirement worked for Antonissen Trucking. Pete loved camping, tractor pulling and going on cruises. He was a dedicated member of St. Paul's United Church and St. David’s Masonic Lodge #302 Port Stanley. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
