Obituary of Bill Putnam

Putnam, William “Bill” formerly of R. R. #4 Aylmer passed away at his residence, Valleyview Home on Thursday, September 21, 2023 in his 91^st year. Beloved husband of the late Jean(Shackelton) Putnam(2012). Dear father of Mary Lynne Magyar(Joe), Cheryl Wilson(Mark), Robert Putnam and Valerie McNeil(Larry).  He will be missed by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Raymond Putnam(2021) and brother Bob Putnam(Audrey). Born in South Dorchester Township, Ontario on February 5, 1933, son of the late Lee and Nellie(Jibson) Putnam. Bill was a mechanic. He was an owner of Dunn Motors and later Putnam’s Auto Centre on John Street North. Bill enjoyed traveling in his motorhome and loved his old cars, especially his 1964 Dodge Polara. He was a member of the Kettle Valley Pioneers. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A private family service will be held. Cremation-burial, Aylmer Cemetery.
