Obituary of Steve Robertson
The family is saddened to report the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather, Stephen (Steve) Alexander Robertson, of Grand Bend, Ontario, in his 82nd year, on August 28th, 2023 at home with his loving family by his side. Married to Carolyn (Ann) Robertson, he was father to Stephanie (Brent), Heather (Ken) and loving Grandpa to Kali (Mark), Alexa, Jake and Mckenna all of London. Steve was pre-deceased by his brothers-in-law Jay Harrison and Keith Carter. He is survived by his brothers-in-law Donald (Judi), David(Liz), nieces Sarah and Rachel. He’s also survived by his sister Barbara (Colin) and niece Susan (Dan), nephews John (Dusty) Matt (Stephanie) and several great nieces and nephews.
Steve was a cancer survivor for over 23 years.
A proud Banker working in the Industry for 25 years, Steve held various positions from Audit, working in the Toronto Credit Department to Bank Manager in Toronto. Following his years in banking, he owned and operated a successful business in London for 16 years. He liked to say that “I worked hard, played hard and loved my family!”
Travel was something Steve and his wife Ann enjoyed during the 56 years of their marriage. While spending eleven years wintering in Naples, Steve was proud to Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
He loved his days at Port Bruce fishing, and the many fishing trips north with his buddies. A proud member of the R.O.M.E.O. Club (Really Old Men Eating Out) and enjoyed many years of breakfasts with this group of friends.
Steve also enjoyed playing golf in several leagues over the years. He was on the Board of Directors of Southcott Pines and proud to be an Honorary Member. For several years he Volunteered with Grand Bend and area Meals on Wheels. As a Queens Scout, he was always proud of his achievements.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 24, 2023 at the Southcott Pines Clubhouse, 10246 Lakeview Ave. Grand Bend, from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Elizabeth Foundation. May he Rest In Peace. Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
