Obituary of John Kenneth Matlack

Matlack, John Kenneth of London passed away at London Health Science Centre- Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Bertha(McEown) Matlack. Dear father of Douglas Matlack(Leslie) of St. Thomas and Sharon Arcese(Paul) of London. Loving grandfather of Darien(Mark), Christopher(Brittany), Justin, Nick and Logan.  Brother of Steven Matlack(Penny) and Ross Matlack. Brother-in-law to Earl, Gordon, Murray, Roy, Sarah, Alvin and Darlene. Predeceased by his brother Gary and brothers-in-law Richard and Stephen. He will be missed by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in Essex County, Ontario on December 10, 1947, son of the late Lewis and Hilda(Shipway) Matlack. Over the years, John worked at Timken, Jaeger, Hunt Windows and retired from Kaizer in 2013. John had a passion for buying, renovating and selling houses. He was a dedicated coach in hockey, soccer and baseball and loved model trains. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Donations to London Health Sciences Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
